Licensed Nail Technician since 2002.  My favorite service to perform is SpaPedicures.  It is so relaxing and makes my customers feel great.  I love our new service Shellac Manicures.  This new service provides the customer with a long lasting shine with no chips, nicks or smudges that last twice as long as a traditional manicure.  Also, there is zero dry time!  This is truly a great new service. I have been working at Hair Formations since 1999; I started as a receptionist and found a passion for nails.  I love doing nails, meeting new people and pampering my customers.  Just like work, I love hanging out with people like my family and friends.  I enjoy shopping, playing volleyball and vacationing.  I love working at Hair Formations and can’t see myself anywhere else!

amber P - Esthetician

Licensed Esthetician since June 2011. I went to the VICI Aveda Institute for my training in Esthetics. I have a strong passion for beauty and wellness. What a better way to bring joy to someone than by helping them express their beauty. I specialize in Facials and Waxing, but have also been trained in Spray Tanning and Make-up Applications. Facials are not only relaxing, but they help improve your skin. Weather you have acne, wrinkles, dark spots or dry/sensitive skin, there is a specialized facial out there for you. I understand what it is like to have embarrassing skin, no one should ever have to hide their appearance. It helps relieve stress, tension and gives you the satisfaction of knowing your skin feels and looks great. It is always a pleasure to give clients the knowledge they need to know about skincare. My favorite is waxing and make-up artistry. Waxing is a great way to get rid of unwanted hair for long periods of time. If you continue to receive waxing services, it takes longer for the hair to grow back. Make-up is a way to express your personality. I love playing with colors and matching the right makeup to the client. It's a wonderful way to learn new techniques so you can keep looking the way you want. I also went to school for Massage Therapy at Anthem College and I am working on earning my certification. I hope to one day go back to school for Nail Care!

Amy - Stylist

Licensed Barber & Cosmetologist since 2005.  I specialize in the art of color with foils and have a great vision for style.  If any of my clients are having a hard time deciding on color or style that would look best on them, I love to help talk them through the options to reach their style goal.  Outside of color services, my favorite service to offer is styling for special events, like wedding parties, prom and holiday parties.  I love offering clients a sleek style or funky updo and everything in-between for their special occasion.  I love the variety of hair products we offer at Hair Formations Salon and Spa.  Each client has different style goals; this allows me to recommend a customer product to aid you with the right shampoo, conditioner and/or styling product to maintaining your stylish look at home.  My favorite product is Paul Mitchell’s Spray Wax; it gives a funky style along with a nice sleek look.

Licensed Barber & Cosmetologist since 1968.  Salon & Spa Owner since 1977.  My personal strength is hair coloring. I’ve worked with Farouk Systems (CHI & Bio-Silk) as an award-winning Color Technician, for over 21 years.  I’ve educate both Stylists and Trainers on the art of coloring and cutting. Through my mentoring, I’ve learned the best techniques from top stylists, such as Farouk Shami! This opportunity has allowed for me to teach and train my staff on the latest trends in the beauty industry.  Not to mention, offer my clients the highest quality service too.  My number one goal, as a Salon Owner, is to continue to grow and succeed by making sure our customers are satisfied. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe environment by practicing protocol for cleanliness and sanitation. We also hire the Best Employees who listen and provide top of the line, professional services. Hair Formations has several employees that have been with us for over 25 years and we are fortunate to have over half of our staff with us for over 12 years! Licensed Barber and Cosmetologist 1969.  I do enjoy all aspects of my work, especially haircutting.  I love the finished product when the hair just falls right in place and my customers are able to maintain the style easily at home!  Because I offer a variety of services, this allows me to take care of customers of all ages.  This keeps my day fun with great conversation and allows me to keep up with my many skills that I learn through continuous education and hands-on experience.  I had worked at another salon for over 30 years.  When our salon owner at my previous salon retired, my clients had no problems following me to Hair Formations.  I’m enjoying the convenience of the salon location and the friendly work environment we have here at Hair Formations Salon and Spa.

Licensed Barber & Cosmetologist since 1981.  I have a passion for perms and haircuts.  I enjoy helping my clients achieve the latest trends in curls and styles.  Creating a finished hairstyle for my clients is important to me.  I love socializing and building good relationships with not only my clients, but everyone who walks through the salon doors.  My children have a DJ, Karaoke, and Live Acoustic Music Service, which allows me to visit with many of my customers outside of work as well.  Being involved in the community functions such as Richfield Day, the VFW Fundraisers, Support the Troops, etc. helps our family give back to the community.  Coming to work isn’t just a job for me, but an opportunity to have some fun and help others look and feel great!

Licensed Barber & Cosmetologist since 19.  I enjoy the art of Haircuts, for no two heads are alike.  From straight to curly, from thick to thin, I enjoy the challenge of achieving your style goals.  Perms are the foundation to a style that aids in lasting the entire day.  It provides volume and makes taking care of your style at home quicker and easier.  In 2001, I expanded my creativity to floral arrangements, with my business, Something Borrowed, www.somethingborrowedllc.com.  It’s exciting working with Brides, helping them plan for one of their most important days of their lives.  Customers often ask me why I still continue to work in the salon, even though, I own a business.  I tell customers all the time, “This is my first love, why would I not do something, I’m truly passionate about!”  Working at Hair Formations, I’ve come full circle, you could say.  When I started my career in the beauty industry, I worked for a little salon known as, Beauty Nook; now known as Hair Formations Salon and Spa.  It’s exciting to be back with Carol, the owner, and to be working in progressive salon and spa environment.  I truly enjoy my faithful customers that have followed me through the years and I always look forward to meeting new customers.

Licensed Barber & Cosmetologist since 1995.  I had a great opportunity to be an Educator for Farouk Systems for over 6 years.  This experience helped me excel in Hair Color.  It also taught me to keep learning, which keeps me up on current trends and styles.  I love when a customer comes in with an idea or a picture and I know how to achieve those results.  I truly enjoy being a part of my customer lives.  Majority of my customers are whole families from the Grandmas down two generations to the Grandkids.  This helps me really feel connected to my customers and I think of them as my family too.  We pride our salon on being a great destination for bridal parties.  I coordinate all our wedding parties to make sure the bride and their families have nothing to worry about with visiting the salon and spa.  We offer services to help the wedding party relax like a massage, to nail care (hands and feet) the day before the wedding to the final day of styling the hair and makeup application.  We really have a great time with our brides and their family/friend.

Licensed Massage Therapist since 2011.  August 2011 attending School for License Nail Technician.  I believe that regular massage is one of the best things you can give to yourself to help sustain your body and overall well-being. From migraines and insomnia to muscle tension and stress, massage has been proven to greatly relieve many symptoms, prevent pain, maintain your health and leave you feeling a relaxed and happier you. I always customize the massage to each client’s specific needs, by giving them a relaxing massage while also providing them with relief by focusing on their frequent problem areas of pain or discomfort. I am a good listener and love being able to help my clients feel better by offering them a service that is so beneficial for them.  I graduated from Blue Sky School of Massage in March of 2011. There I learned several different techniques and spent many hours in the student clinic where I worked one on one with multiple clients. During my schooling I provided massage therapy to my family and friends and saw them benefit from it as well. I look forward to learning even more, growing and building my clientele in the years to come.
